Got Interns?
Do you have interns for your business? If not, you should think seriously about hiring a few. Why, you ask? Because, more times than not, interns come in with the passion, motivation, and desire to learn and grow your business. More than anything, interns know that they have something to prove and are willing to go above and beyond to make their presence known.
Here in the Blackwave New Jersey office, we’ve hired two interns for the summer, Scott Cerqueira and Nicole Sparano. These two have been saviors and it’s time we put some faces to their names. From quality assurance and content population, to WordPress demos and getting me coffee – these two are on the ball. Not only that, they ensure that Vince and I show up on time.
Scott comes to us with a degree in Computer Science and many other technical accolades. When he’s not working at Dick’s Sporting Goods, he’s usually on the phone with me at 10 pm finishing up a WordPress build or playing NHL for Xbox 360. Scott’s become a CMS specialist while polishing up his other skills in Flash, HTML/CSS, and PHP development.
Nicole is a graduate of Shippenburg University with a degree in Communications/Journalism and an emphasis on Public Relations. She started up just a few weeks ago and was able to jump right in and start contributing to New Jersey’s best Web Design company. We’ve been working closely together to cross-browser test sites, build out our fancy new site (built on WordPress 3), generate new business, and much much more.
All of us in this office and on the team owe Scott and Nicole a great deal of gratitude. They’ve been able to accomplish and learn a lot in this short period of time and I hope they’ve enjoyed the ride thus far. If you were ever wary about acquiring interns to help build your business, DON’T BE. They’ll likely come in with a desire to impress, pay close attention to detail, and ultimately help grow your business. If you feel they’re gunning for your job, just have them migrate 200 pages of content from your old website to the new one. Many thanks Scott and Nicole!!!!
